During his legal career, Rutledge has represented individuals and self-insured or closely held businesses in all types of civil disputes and in every type of forum. All of Rutledge’s clients are facing some immediate legal crisis. They have either been mistreated or injured by some other person or company, or they have been sued. Rutledge graduated from the University of Virginia and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is a former law clerk to United States District Judge David Norton. Before opening his own firm, Rutledge practiced at the small Charleston firm of Wills and Massalon.
